I have to say…2023 was an interesting year.
This little project of mine, let's call it a personal blog, has proven to be quite the adventure. It all started as a challenge I set for myself at the beginning of the year—a New Year's resolution if you will.
I wanted to see what I could achieve by committing to a clear goal: posting one article or story every week about the things that caught my attention. As my collection of "read later" articles in my Pocket app and opened Chrome tabs continued to grow, I realized I needed some form of accountability.
But this endeavor was about more than just meeting a personal challenge. It was also a way for me to cultivate and maintain new habits. Creating new habits is hard, don’t let anyone lie to you but with perseverance it’s doable.
Lastly and more importantly, this substack was a way to share how I saw the world. Sure, my background lies in visual storytelling, but I've always had a keen interest in various fascinating subjects. I've constantly sought to understand the world around me and engage in meaningful conversations with a community of readers who share my views.
Here’s to building “a table and they’ll come” believers. Don’t wait to be invited.
P.S. The halfway point of 2023 was July 2nd, the 183rd day of the year { 184th in leap year } in the Gregorian Calendar.
